Několik dní jsem se zabýval problematikou jak co nejefektivněji dostat .avi film s titulky do iPhone. Stejně jako iPod nebo Apple TV nepodporuje ani toto zařízení titulky v textovém souboru .srt nebo .sub. Testoval jsem ffmpeg, Visual Hub ale nic z toho nebylo zcela ideální. Naposledy jsem zkoušel Submerge a musím říci že na přidání titulků a následný převod z DivX do mp4 pro iPod, iPhone nebo Apple TV je to téměř ideální nástroj. Titulky nejdříve vyrendruje samostatně, což mu trvá tak 30 vteřin a po kontrole pouhým výběrem zařízení vyripuje do správného rozlišení. Na mém Intel macu mini mu 42 minut trvalo cca hodinu. Není sice úplně zdarma ale 9 USD není při dnešním kurzu nic, co by si nemohl majitel výše zmíněných zařízení dovolit. Vlastně jedna věc by se mohla ještě vylepšit. Při zvolení fontu titulků máte na výběr pouze ze tří velikostí a standardní systémové rozhraní pro výběr fontu chybí.
